Dragons’ Den Aired on AIT last night
The premiere episode of Dragons’ Den Nigeria commenced on a very promising premise. The den had come alive as a Mecca where good business ideas meet great opportunities. The presenter, Nwaji Jibunoh captured the feeling that would permeate this episode in his introduction, “when the entrepreneurs come into the den, they can ask for as much money as they like but in order to convince the dragons to part with their hard-earned cash, they must be willing to answer some tough questions (and defend their business proposals)…also, the pitchers must get the exact amount they are asking for or they leave the den with nothing…”
We saw seven entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas to the dragons, but somehow they weren’t strong enough to slay the dragons. We’ll analyze the pitches one by one. Stay tuned!

Sunday’s show was mind blowing.I sat glued to the TV.I can confidently say that this is the first show that has got so much depth, knowledge and intended to help a lot of serious entrepreneurs. Once you get into the dragons den, you can be sure that you will never be the same again. You may not be able to get the money you requested for but you would have gained insights into obvious loop holes, cracks and strong issues in your business proposal which you never considered. For the serious entrepreneur, this will take you back to your seat to work harder on your idea and reposition yourself to enable you reach for the success you desire.
I was blessed and it was a time of soul searching for me.
Keep up the good work Dragons, the show is really for such a time as this.Nigeria needs this.

Watching the show yesterday left me speechless! Firstly I would like to comment on the way the shooting and editing of the show was done which in my point of view was world standard compared to all the mediocre reality TV shows that are aired on the Nigerian airwaves. Secondly the pedigree of the Dragons to me is flawless because these are real entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves in the business environment and have excelled excellently and their works bear witness to these facts. Thirdly this is the first TV show that has the true intention of empowering real entrepreneurs in the society which is what a country like Nigeria needs desperately at the moment to curb the high rate of unemployment. Finally I would like to give kudos to the sponsors of the show and hope the show maintains its high standard at all times.

Absolutely enthralling! This is the product of some really good thinking, ingenuity and a great deal of hardwork. I hope it gets to show more often on more stations across the nation. Everybody needs to see this.
